"While recording in upstate NY, what would be my daughter's second album One In A Million, we went to see a film on her break. We decided on Lethal Weapon 4. We had enjoyed the previous installments so much, we knew we couldn't go wrong. As we watched, we were in awe of a featured martial artist named Jet Li. We talked about how incredible his technique was on screen and how fantastic it would be if one day they could do a film together. I suggested he could maybe even be in one of her music videos one day. We were just letting our imaginations run wild as we normally did. Aaliyah and her brother took martial arts as children, so there was a natural interest there. We smiled and continued our viewing of a very entertaining and memorable film. The miraculous part of this story was realized in the year 2000 when Aaliyah and Jet Li would ultimately Star in her debut film Romeo Must Die. They would share the screen for a second time in Jet's only ever music video appearance for the soundtrack's biggest hit 'Try Again'. It all seemed as though it was destined to be before it really happened. Now in hindsight, I truly believe that it was."
